At Five Star Performance Horses LLC, we offer personalized coaching services designed to help you excel. Whether you're just starting out or looking to refine your skills, our experienced coaches are here to guide you.

Our lesson pricing is as follows:

Pay as you go:
• $55 when paying by cash or check
• $60 when paying via mobile or online payment

Monthly Packages:
• $235 for 4 lessons (riding once a week)
 — $210 if enrolled in auto-pay online

• $460 for 8 lessons (riding twice a week)
 — $420 if enrolled in auto-pay online

 

Leasing Options:
Leasing prices vary depending on horse availability, the type of riding and training you’re interested in, and how often you plan to ride. Please contact us or speak directly with your instructor for more information.

 

Age Requirements:
Lessons are ideally suited for riders ages 6 and older, as riding requires focus and attention to ensure safety.

For children under 6, we offer 30-minute pony rides and grooming sessions, which provide a safe and fun introductory experience with horses.

With an indoor and outdoor arena, we are able to personalize riding lessons tailored to your skill level and goals all year! We focus on building a strong foundation and fostering a deep connection with your horse.

Join our IEA (Interscholastic Equestrian Association) team and experience the thrill of competition. We provide expert coaching and support to help you succeed in team events.

Showing Opportunities

Prepare for success in the show ring with our comprehensive showing program. We participate in Local shows to National & World Championship Show opportunities!

CHSA Show Circuit Participation

At Five Star Performance Horses, we proudly participate in the Connecticut Horse Shows Association (CHSA) show circuit. CHSA is one of the region’s most established and reputable associations, offering a wide range of rated hunter, jumper, and equitation divisions for riders of all ages and experience levels.

By competing in CHSA-affiliated shows, our riders have the opportunity to:

  • Earn points toward year-end CHSA awards

  • Show at recognized and professionally run venues across Connecticut

  • Develop their skills in a structured, competitive, and supportive environment

  • Work toward qualifying for the CHSA Finals, held annually as a highlight event of the season

Whether you’re new to showing or an experienced competitor, Five Star provides coaching, training, and horse care tailored to help riders succeed throughout the CHSA circuit.

IEA Team – Interscholastic Equestrian Association

Five Star Performance Horses is proud to offer participation in the Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA)—a national riding organization designed for middle school and high school riders who want to compete in a team-based format.

IEA allows riders in grades 4–12 to compete without needing to own a horse. At every show, riders draw a horse supplied by the host barn, encouraging strong horsemanship, adaptability, and teamwork.

Through IEA, riders experience:

  • Team and individual competition opportunities

  • Classes in Hunt Seat Flat and Over Fences divisions

  • A leveled system so riders compete against others with similar experience

  • The chance to qualify for Regionals, Zones, and National Finals

  • A supportive, educational environment focused on sportsmanship and skill building

IEA is an excellent introduction to competition and a great pathway for riders looking to prepare for varsity-level teams, collegiate riding, and advanced show circuits.
